THAIFEX-ANUGA ASIA 2026 will return to Bangkok next May with its largest edition yet, as food and beverage companies across Asia race to secure reliable suppliers and respond to rapidly changing consumer demand in an increasingly competitive market.

The trade exhibition, scheduled for May 26-30 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, will expand to 12 halls covering 140,000sq.m.

The event comes as sourcing decisions in the food and beverage sector become more time-sensitive amid shifting supply chains, rising demand for functional products and a growing focus on value-driven offerings across the Asia-Pacific region.

Organisers said the 2026 edition is expected to attract 3,300 exhibitors from 60 countries and territories, alongside 88,000 trade visitors from 140 markets, reinforcing its position as one of the region’s largest gatherings for buyers and suppliers.

“Buyer requirements have tightened. Beyond products that perform in daily consumption, they are looking for suppliers who demonstrate consistency, flexibility and the ability to support cross-border trade at scale,” Mathias Kuepper, managing director and regional president Asia-Pacific at Koelnmesse, one of the event’s organisers, told Việt Nam News.

Kuepper added that the event aims to connect global brands, emerging innovators and international food producers while providing insight into retail trends and distribution channels.

Việt Nam is among the exhibition’s top five international exhibitor groups, with 172 participating exhibitors, according to Kuepper.

He said Việt Nam’s position as Southeast Asia’s third-largest food and beverage market continued to attract growing attention from regional buyers.

Organisers said Vietnamese participants account for 17 per cent of hosted buyers this year, reflecting rising cross-border sourcing activity and procurement demand linked to the market.

The previous edition generated an estimated total order value of US$4.12 billion, including $8.27 million in immediate on-site orders and a projected $4.11 billion in business expected within one year after the event.
