9Pay has marked its third consecutive year securing the highest level of certification, after maintaining full compliance with the latest Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 version, the most rigorous global standard for payment security.

This achievement underlines the company's commitment to protecting customer data and aligning operations with international standards.

As financial and technology organisations face increasing cybersecurity threats, adherence to stringent security standards is crucial not only for regulatory compliance but also for building trust among users.

PCI DSS, established by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council — which includes major card networks such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB — sets global requirements for safeguarding payment card data.

The latest 4.0.1 version introduces stricter protocols, demanding proactive risk management, thorough self-assessment and advanced defensive measures.

During the 2025 assessment, 9Pay worked with CMC Cyber Security, a PCI SSC-certified Qualified Security Assessor and one of Việt Nam’s leading security firms.

The audit evaluated the company’s technological infrastructure, operational processes, risk controls and data protection measures. 9Pay successfully met all 12 requirement domains and over 300 detailed criteria, retaining its Level 1 certification, the highest tier for organisations processing more than six million transactions annually.

A 9Pay representative said: “Information security is always our top priority. Meeting PCI DSS 4.0 Level 1 standards again reaffirms our long-term commitment to investing in technology, people and processes to ensure every transaction is protected at the highest level.”

The certification reinforces confidence among partners and customers, supporting 9Pay’s expansion in fintech, e-commerce and financial services, where compliance with global standards is critical. It also enables the company to continue enhancing payment solutions, accelerating new technology development and building a reliable digital payment ecosystem for individuals and businesses alike.

With this renewal, 9Pay cements its position as one of Việt Nam’s most secure and trusted payment gateways.
