The Vietnam National Industry – Energy Group (Petrovietnam) reported consolidated revenue of VNĐ484 trillion (US$18.3 billion) in the first nine months of 2025, a 10 per cent increase compared with the same period last year.

Total revenue was estimated at VNĐ795 trillion, or 98 per cent of the group’s annual target and up 7 per cent year-on-year. Of this, VNĐ109 trillion was contributed to the State budget.

Most production indicators exceeded targets by 5 to 23 per cent. Crude oil output reached 7.37 million tonnes, surpassing the nine-month plan by 20 per cent, while electricity generation rose 15 per cent year-on-year to 23.92 billion kWh. Petrol and oil production, excluding output from the Nghi Sơn Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, reached 5.83 million tonnes, 15 per cent above plan and 19 per cent higher year-on-year.

Urea fertiliser output remained steady at 1.4 million tonnes, while NPK compound fertiliser production surged by 52 per cent.

Petrovietnam said it faced challenges including US tax policies, geopolitical tensions, climate change, natural disasters and falling crude oil prices. Despite this, the group managed to surpass many of its production, business and financial targets.

To support the national GDP growth target of 8.3–8.5 per cent in 2025 amid global energy market volatility, the group strengthened operations at its refineries, fertiliser and power plants. It also expanded fuel distribution, boosted LPG and LNG trading, and enhanced oil and gas services domestically and abroad.

Notably, revenue from new products created through research, science and innovation was estimated at VNĐ6.1 trillion, while international business generated VNĐ94.7 trillion in the first nine months of the year.

Petrovietnam maintained stable operations across its facilities and oil rigs, helping secure national energy supplies. The group also worked to improve coordination in exploration, transport, processing, storage and distribution.
