Sun rises on Cao Bằng with major tourism pledge

The Cao Bằng Province People’s Committee on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding with Sun Group to promote cooperation in tourism, services, trade and infrastructure development, with projects expected to create spillover effects and boost the province’s socio-economic growth.

Under the agreement, Sun Group will study and propose large-scale resort, entertainment and eco-urban projects linked to the Non Nước Cao Bằng UNESCO Global Geopark. It will also invest in high-end hotels, service infrastructure and transport systems to boost connectivity.

Both sides have agreed to work together on investment promotion, branding and human resource training to turn Cao Bằng into a key destination in the northeast and gradually reach international markets.

Provincial Party Secretary Quản Minh Cường said the partnership marked a new step in Cao Bằng’s growth strategy. He pledged favourable conditions for Sun Group’s projects, calling them new momentum for development and proof of the province’s growing appeal to major investors.

Meanwhile, Sun Group’s representative pledged long-term support and projects that highlight Cao Bằng’s natural beauty, cultural richness and historic value.
