Amid rapid growth in Việt Nam’s retail sector and increasing demand for high-quality human resources, Central Retail Vietnam has signed a cooperation agreement with the College of Foreign Economic Relations (COFER) to train a new generation of practically skilled young retail managers.

The agreement, signed on July 30, 2025 in HCM City, marks the official launch of the 'Future Retail Operation' programme jointly implemented by the two parties.

Under the partnership, Central Retail and COFER will focus on two core training initiatives.

The first is a Management Trainee Programme, offering students a two-year practical work experience pathway to become store managers.

The second is the COFER Retail Management Programme, which includes expert-led workshops, tuition support and performance-based evaluations, along with a commitment to hiring graduates upon completion.

Olivier Langlet, CEO of Central Retail Vietnam, said the company aim for at least 30 COFER students to become young leaders at Central Retail stores by 2028.

He emphasised that the initiative not only benefits both institutions but also serves the wider community by helping to build a dynamic workforce for the domestic market.

From the education sector’s perspective, Lê Ngọc Trung, rector of COFER, said: “We highly appreciate Central Retail’s commitment and responsibility in this cooperation. With its strong retail platforms such as GO!, Tops Market and Nguyễn Kim, Central Retail offers an ideal environment for students to thrive and realise the principle of training that meets real business needs.”
