SCG reports positive business performance in Q1 2025

Thai industrial conglomerate SCG has reported a positive start to 2025, posting a total profit of VNĐ834 billion (US$32 million) in the first quarter - an improvement over the previous quarter.

The company attributed its Q1 performance to enhanced financial discipline and strategic adaptation efforts across all its business concerns. In a statement, SCG said it has implemented ongoing measures to strengthen its financial position, reduce production costs and boost operational efficiency.

“In Q1/2025, SCG and all business units demonstrated improvement, driven by on-going financial strengthening measures,” said Thammasak Sethaudom, President and CEO of SCG. “We have enhanced competitiveness through production cost reduction and effective management, as well as efficient expansion into new markets.”

In Q1, revenue from SCG’s operations in ASEAN (excluding Thailand) reached $698 million. 

As of March 31 2025, SCG’s total assets amounted to $25.01 billion, with SCG's assets in ASEAN (excluding Thailand assets) totalling $11.46 billion, or 46 per cent of SCG’s total consolidated assets.  

According to the company, its revenue from sales in Việt Nam reached $301 million, with some highlights in sustainable innovation and strategic partnerships for long-term sustainability.

SCG began its business operations in Việt nam in 1992 and today it employs over 16,000 workers across 27 companies.
