Kim Long Motor delivers electric buses to South Korea
Kim Long Motor Hue handed over the first electric bus under the Kim Long brand to South Korea's Daon Mobility Co., Ltd on June 2.
|
This marks the first vehicle delivery according to a contract signed between the two sides in April. Kim Long will supply 200 buses of different kinds annually for tour services and student support in South Korea.
The Kim Long electric bus model has a luxurious and eye-catching design, allowing the vehicle to move flexibly, safely, and effectively in crowded streets and residential areas. Despite the length of up to 7.5m, the KimLong N23-EV electric bus model is designed with a maximum capacity of 22 passengers, suitable for tours and picking up and dropping off students in major cities in South Korea.

The N23-EV bus line is equipped with Dongfeng Dana axle system, a brand that applies advanced technology from the United States. The brand is currently used on more than 90 per cent of commercial vehicles globally.
Furthermore, the vehicle is integrated with advanced safety systems, including electronic brake system, advanced emergency braking system, Auto Hold system combined with electronic handbrake and hill start assist, and electronic balance system to ensure the vehicle's stability in all public traffic conditions.
The KimLong N23-EV is also equipped with a lane departure warning system, collision sensors, anti-jamming automatic doors, and a warning feature when passengers get on/off the vehicle. The smart journey monitoring system allows parents and schools to track travel schedules, contributing to improving safety and peace of mind during vehicle operation.

In particular, the vehicle is powered by Lithium Polymer batteries from South Korea, with a capacity of 170 kW and a range of up to 310km per charge. This is an optimal solution to help save operating costs and reduce emissions, which is in line with the green transformation orientation in South Korea's transportation sector.
Dao Viet Anh, general director of Kim Long Motor said, "We are extremely proud that the first Vietnamese electric bus is available in South Korea – a market famous for its strict standards of quality and technology. This is not only an important milestone for Kim Long Motor but also a historical milestone for the Vietnamese vehicle industry. This event proves that Vietnam has completely mastered high technology and can confidently compete in the international market."
Jeong Ha Neul, general director of Daon Mobility said, "To achieve today's results, we spent a lot of time working with Kim Long Motor's team in Vietnam. My colleagues and I were completely convinced when we saw and experienced the Kim Long N23-EV electric bus model with our own eyes. The vehicle not only met our expectations in terms of design, features, and performance but also brought an impressive practical experience, fully meeting the strict standards of the South Korean market."
