A consortium proposes to develop $64 million wind farm Project in Quang Tri

The consortium combines Quang Tri Renewable Energy Investment JSC, Win Power Holding Pte Ltd, and Nam Binh Wind Power JSC

The project, with a total investment of over VND1.68 trillion ($67.2 million), has a planned power generation capacity of 48MW and will be developed in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri. Key components include a wind turbine network, internal roads, an operations building, and other auxiliary structures. The plant, with an expected capacity of 48MW, promises to contribute clean energy to the central region.

The plant is scheduled to commence construction in the first quarter of 2026 and be completed for operation in the first quarter of 2027.

Quang Tri Renewable Energy Investment JSC leads the consortium. It was established in 2019 in Hanoi with an initial charter capital of VND2.3 billion ($92,000).

In November 2020, the company’s shareholder structure underwent a significant change when Wind Energy Development JSC, a foreign-invested enterprise, acquired 99.13 per cent of the charter capital (equivalent to VND2.28 billion ($91,200)).

ASEAN Energy Development Co., Ltd. is the largest shareholder in Quang Tri Renewable Energy Investment JSC, owning 43 per cent of shares, equivalent to approximately VND127.8 billion ($5.11 million) out of the total charter capital of VND295 billion ($11.8 million).

The other partner in the consortium is Nam Binh Wind Power JSC. Established in 2020 in Dak Nong, Nam Binh is currently the investor in the Nam Binh 1 Wind Power Plant in Dak Nong, with a capacity of 30MW and a total investment of over VND1.2 trillion ($48,000).
