Vinexpo Asia to spotlight trends in wines and spirits

Vinexpo Asia returns to Singapore as a key growth catalyst for the wine and spirits industry.

With its vibrant consumer base, dynamic markets, and evolving culinary landscape, Vinexpo Asia 2025, which will take place May 27-29 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the wine and spirits industry.

More than 20 markets will be involved in the event

According to Rodolphe Lameyse, CEO of organisers Vinexposium, the global wine and spirits industry is facing unprecedented challenges, with consumption declining in many mature markets.

“In this context, capturing commercial opportunities is vital. Southeast Asia, with Singapore as its strategic hub, is where growth is happening. Vinexpo Asia provides the essential platform for industry leaders to meet, collaborate, and thrive in this dynamic environment,” Lameyse remarked.

With over 1,100 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and 11,000 professional visitors from 70 nations expected to attend, Vinexpo Asia 2025 is set to be one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region. It serves as a strategic business accelerator, connecting producers, distributors, and buyers, and spotlighting emerging trends across both mature and developing markets.

From established wine markets such as China, Japan, and South Korea to high-potential emerging markets like Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, the event promises unmatched networking and business development opportunities.

According to global drinks data provider IWSR, overall alcohol consumption is projected to rise by 1.5 per cent in 2025. The ready-to-drink segment also continues to gain traction, with anticipated growth of nearly 6 per cent next year, driven by evolving consumer preferences. Singapore, as a mature yet dynamic market, is forecasted to experience 3 per cent annual growth in the wine industry this year, solidifying its status as the preferred gateway to the region.

Vinexpo Asia’s strategic significance extends beyond its scale. The event embodies three key drivers that position it as a must-attend gathering for industry stakeholders: a powerful business catalyst, facilitating direct access to booming markets; a qualified platform for high-value connections, enabling targeted meetings between exhibitors and buyers; and a hub of expertise, delivering forward-thinking content through initiatives like Vinexpo Academy and the Voice of the Industry.

The 2025 edition will introduce several new highlights, including the debut of the Wines Unearthed collective, showcasing boutique producers seeking distributors in Asia.

The exhibition will also feature strong representation from spirits producers from Japan, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, France, and China, reflecting key market trends. Adding further depth to the programme, Vinexpo Academy will once again host a series of high-level masterclasses, conferences, and discovery tastings.

These sessions offer rare opportunities to engage with top sommeliers, gain insights into market shifts, and sample speciality vintages, providing attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the evolving landscape.

Vinexpo Asia’s return to Singapore not only underscores the city-state’s role as a central trade hub for Southeast Asia but also reinforces the event’s position as a landmark occasion for the wine and spirits industry. With its robust programme and focus on high-value business connections, Vinexpo Asia is set to drive growth and foster collaboration across one of the world’s most dynamic markets.
