Construction begins on $1.5 billion Trump Organization golf complex in Hung Yen

The venture, also known as the Trump International Hung Yen, is the first Trump-branded resort, golf course, and villa complex in Vietnam.

The event saw the participation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper, Eric Trump, vice president of the Trump Organization and son of US President Donald Trump, and his wife Lara Trump.

Trump International Hung Yen covers 1,000 hectares with a total investment of over $1.5 billion. The complex will boast a 54-hole VIP golf course, luxury villas, a resort, a modern urban area, and international-compliant amenities.

The complex is being developed by The Trump Organization and Hung Yen Hospitality, a subsidiary of Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation. Construction is expected to finish by the second quarter of 2029.

Once completed, the venture is expected to unlock the potential of the area and promote the Red River tourism corridor, enhancing regional connectivity between Hung Yen, Hanoi, and northern provinces.

Addressing the ceremony, PM Chinh highlighted that the project is significant to strengthening Vietnam-US relations and fostering foreign investor confidence, especially those from the US. This is particularly true against the backdrop of the US's leading companies like Intel, Nike, Apple, Boeing, Nvidia, and The Trump Organization expanding operations in Vietnam.

The prime minister expected that the complex will contribute to the rapid and sustainable development of Hung Yen and Vietnam. This is coupled with modern technology transfer, job creation, and livelihood improvements.

"President Donald Trump paid visits to Vietnam twice during his first term. The Vietnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership continues to grow positively, contributing to a peaceful, cooperative environment in the region and the world. Vietnam hopes to continue to welcome President Trump to the country again," the prime minister noted.

He urged Hung Yen province to work closely with ministries to support the project in anticipation of the APEC 2027 summit in Vietnam, contributing to elevating Hung Yen's service industry to a new level and bolstering the strategic partnership between the two nations.

Dang Thanh Tam, chairman of Kinh Bac, said that the two partners share the same vision of transforming Hung Yen into a leading golf and lifestyle destination in Asia. With extensive experience in developing world-class golf courses, both sides are excited to realise this vision.

Eric Trump said, "Vietnam is one of the world’s most dynamic and potential markets. I am proud to bring the Trump brand to a country with vision, vitality, and strong growth."

"The project is not only an iconic building but also a commitment to excellence and a tribute to culture and a lasting mark for the future of Vietnam," he stated.
