Business matching event held to promote Cambodian products in supermarkets and marts

The “Business Matching to Promote Cambodian Products in Supermarkets and Marts 2025” event was held in Phnom Penh on Saturday to strengthen and expand cooperation between supermarkets, marts, and Cambodian product manufacturers and suppliers.

The event aimed to promote greater consumption and visibility of Cambodian products in the domestic market, particularly in supermarkets and marts, by fostering stronger partnerships between businesses.

The programme featured presentations and experience sharing from four key speakers: representatives from (1) the General Department of Trade Promotion, (2) AEON Mall, (3) Chip Mong Market, and (4) Ample Agro Product Co., Ltd. Topics covered included the development of Cambodian products, understanding procedures, regulations, and requirements for placing products in supermarkets and marts, and real-world experiences in marketing Cambodian goods. A variety of Cambodian products were also displayed at the event.

Seang Thay, who presided over the event, encouraged Cambodian producers and suppliers to prioritise product quality, ensure consumer safety, adopt proper packaging standards, and maintain reasonable pricing to stay competitive in both domestic and international markets.

The event also provided a platform for Cambodian producers and suppliers to voice challenges and submit requests to supermarket and mart owners regarding the inclusion of Cambodian products in their distribution systems, under the coordination of the Ministry of Commerce.
