Infrastructure construction started in the VSIP II Quảng Ngãi Industrial Park (IP), Bình Sơn District, Quảng Ngãi Province on March 12.

The groundbreaking ceremony of VSIP II Quảng Ngãi IP took place at a time when Party General Secretary Tô Lâm is paying an official visit to Singapore, demonstrating substantive and effective cooperation between the two countries.

VSIP II Quảng Ngãi spans an area of 497.7 hectares, with a registered investment capital of about US$161 million.

The park is designed with a focus on sustainability and smart technology, aiming to foster green, modern and environmentally responsible development.

When fully operational, VSIP II Quảng Ngãi will provide an attractive investment location for leading international companies and corporations.

The park’s design emphasises the creation of a comprehensive industrial ecosystem, bringing together manufacturing, innovation, urban services and high-tech industries to fuel the region’s economic growth.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Hòa Bình asked Sembcorp Group (Singapore) and Becamex (Việt Nam) to build a smart and sustainable industrial park that promote innovation and economic development.

The Deputy Prime Minister also affirmed the Vietnamese Government’s commitment to maintaining a stable investment environment.

He emphasised ongoing reforms in administrative procedures and legal systems aimed at creating a more open and conducive atmosphere for both domestic and foreign enterprises to thrive in Việt Nam, including those from Singapore.

He believes that VSIP will continue to be a symbol of successful collaboration between the two nations, further strengthening the Việt Nam-Singapore cooperation.

At the ceremony, Quảng Ngãi Province's authorities presented investment certificate and memorandums of understanding to the VSIP II Quảng Ngãi's investors.
