PM Chinh made this commitment during his meeting in Hanoi on Tuesday with Charles James Boyd Bowman, CEO of IDG Capital Vietnam, which represents the Trump Organization in the project.
IDG Capital is one of the two U.S. investment funds selected by the Trump Organization for the $1.5 billion project.
This initiative aims to establish a high-end urban area featuring eco-tourism, sports facilities, and a premium golf complex adhering to the Trump Organization's top standards.
Highly appreciating the project, the PM stressed that Vietnamese authorities will conduct a comprehensive review to expedite the project as soon as possible.
Highlighting the growing Vietnam-U.S. relationship in all fields since their comprehensive strategic partnership was established in September 2023, PM Chinh noted that there remains ample room for more U.S. capital to flow into the Southeast Asian nation.
The official suggested the Trump Organization consider Vietnam as a strategic business hub, exploring investment and business expansion into other localities and potential sectors where the company has strengths and Vietnam is prioritizing development.
The Vietnamese government leader called on the Trump Organization to enhance cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises, supporting their integration into global ecosystems and supply chains.
He also mentioned Vietnam's ongoing efforts to reform administrative procedures and improve the investment environment to facilitate and maximize benefits for foreign investors.
During the meeting, Bowman expressed gratitude for the robust support from Vietnamese agencies and Hung Yen Province authorities for the project, which is scheduled to be completed within the next two years.
The complex, covering approximately 722 hectares in Hung Yen’s Khoai Chau District, was initiated based on a memorandum of understanding signed on September 25, 2024 between the Hung Yen administration and the aforementioned consortium, as reported by Hung Yen newspaper.
Bowman emphasized that the company is closely collaborating with local authorities to fast-track the project, targeting completion by March 2027, in time to serve APEC 2027 hosted by Vietnam.
Upon completion, the complex will feature a premier golf course in Vietnam, positioning the country as a world-class golfing destination, he added.
The Trump Organization plans upcoming visits by its leaders to Vietnam, contributing to bolstering bilateral relations between the two nations as well as elevating Vietnam's high-quality image in the eyes of the U.S. administration and the global community, Bowman stated.
Founded in 1927 and headquartered in New York, the Trump Organization is one of the world's prominent property developers, operating large-scale projects worldwide.
