The renovation is meant to make the area an attractive and functional addition to the cityscape.

Nguyen Minh Huy, director of the Da Nang traffic and agricultural infrastructure investment project management board, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on Sunday that the project to revitalize the landscape along Thang Long Street, from Asia Park to the boundary with Cam Le District, had been finished.

The project included several architectural and landscaping components such as green space, public restrooms, fitness equipment, walking paths, cycling lanes, and railings, all designed to enhance the recreational and physical activity opportunities for both local residents and visitors.

One of the project’s highlights was the selection of silver trumpet trees, chosen for their distinctive appearance and ability to provide shade, adding a unique charm to the riverside area.

Additionally, the existing tree line along Thang Long Street has been preserved, with unsuitable trees carefully relocated.

Two state-of-the-art public restrooms installed along the sidewalk are equipped with automatic sensor doors, high-quality interior furnishings, antimicrobial features, and eco-friendly designs.

Moreover, the project comprised the installation of a new lighting system that not only illuminates the walking paths but also enhances the aesthetics of the area, especially along the cycling lanes.

The riverside sidewalk improvement project carried a price tag of VND44.2 billion (US$1.7 million).
