Schneider Electric inaugurates Center of Excellence as part of effort to train 45,000 Vietnamese students
French electrical equipment maker Schneider Electric and the Schneider Electric Foundation, in collaboration with several other agencies, inaugurated the Center of Excellence at Ly Tu Trong College of Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday, part of a move to train over 200 teachers and enhance skills for more than 45,000 students across Vietnam.

The Center of Excellence is equipped with cutting-edge technology solutions in energy and automation, including smart building systems, smart factories, and advanced solar energy systems, creating a comprehensive learning environment to help students master these technologies.
According to Dong Mai Lam, cluster president for Schneider Electric Vietnam and Cambodia, the center reflects the French industrial giant’s long-term commitment to fostering positive impacts and promoting sustainable development in Vietnam.
Lam explained that the center serves as a bridge between education and industry, offering job opportunities to young professionals in the digital transformation and energy transition era.
Schneider Electric is dedicated to providing development opportunities for students and teachers at 20 vocational colleges across Vietnam, aiming to train 45,000 students and 200 teachers in electricity, automation, and renewable energy by 2030 to meet the growing demand for green human resources.
Pham Huu Loc, a representative of Ly Tu Trong College of Ho Chi Minh City, highlighted the significance of the Center of Excellence for the school’s teaching activities.
Teachers and students at the center can receive in-depth training and stay updated on the latest technology trends in electricity, automation, digitalization, and energy management.
Diane Le Goff, global manager of the Youth Education & Entrepreneurship CSR programs for Schneider Electric, emphasized the firm’s commitment to supporting countries like Vietnam in nurturing green human resources for the future.
The center not only trains a highly skilled workforce but also accelerates sustainable transformation, creating positive impacts on Vietnam’s economy.
The group is committed to training one million young people in energy management this year.
