FDI projects worth $101 million found a home in Tay Ninh in January

According to Tay Ninh People's Committee, the province attracted three foreign-invested projects worth $101 million in January.

Meanwhile, three existing deals were approved to adjust capital with an additional sum of just under $21 million. As of January 20, Tay Ninh is home to 394 overseas-funded ventures with a value of $10.2 billion.

Tay Ninh also granted an investment licence to a new domestic undertaking valued at VND80 billion ($3.2 million) in January. Meanwhile, an existing local scheme is increasing its investment capital by VND25 billion ($985,200). As of January 22, the province has over 720 locally invested projects with a total registered capital of almost VND141 trillion ($5.5 billion).

So far this year, 66 enterprises have been granted investment certificates, with a combined worth of VND476 billion ($18.8 million), an increase of 43.5 per cent from a year ago. Meanwhile, 21 firms ceased operations with a total capital of VND122 billion ($4.8 million). Tay Ninh currently has over 8,830 operating businesses, valued at VND207.7 trillion ($8.2 billion).

The number of tourist arrivals to Tay Ninh in January reached nearly one million, more than double the last year's period and marking a record level. Tourism turnover hit VND473 billion ($18.6 million), up 205 per cent from the previous year.

Tay Ninh has set a target of 8 per cent growth in regional GDP for 2025. The province is making efforts to complete the goals of economic development and investment environment improvement to attract more local and foreign capital resources, with the long-term objective of sustainable development in the coming years.
