ADATA Technology eyes EV manufacturing in Cambodia

ADATA Technology Co., Ltd. is interested in investing in electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing in Cambodia.

The intention was revealed by Mr Simon Chen, Chairman and CEO of ADATA Technology, in a meeting with Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment in Phnom Penh, on January 2.

Eang Sophalleth welcomed the firm’s intention, considering it a pro-carbon credit investment.

The minister emphasised that such green investment is in line with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and encouraged the firm to speed up the work.

The ADATA Technology delegation and the Council for the Development of Cambodia also met in July 2024 to discuss a $100 million investment for 2024-2027 to construct an electronics processing plant and high-tech industrial park in Cambodia.
