Throughout its 30-year history, shipping giant Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC) has maintained its solid position in the maritime transport industry, achieving numerous significant accomplishments, particularly the honour of being among the Top 10 Vietnam Gold Star Award winners in 2024.

Established in 1995, VIMC has rapidly evolved from a shipping enterprise to become a major industry player. Cargo volume through VIMC ports shows strong growth, making significant contributions to international trade promotion and serving the country's economic development needs.

With major ports such as Tan Vu port in Haiphong and Cai Mep port in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, VIMC has helped elevate Vietnam's seaport industry status in the region. The Vietnam Gold Star Award recognises outstanding contributions to Vietnamese enterprise development.

VIMC's presence in the Award's Top 10 demonstrates its efforts in enhancing maritime transport capacity and port infrastructure development and affirms the company's strong commitment to sustainable development and its contribution to the national economy.

Nguyen Canh Tinh, CEO of VIMC said, "The Vietnam Gold Star Award recognises our sustainable development journey. This motivates VIMC to continue improving service quality, promoting innovation, and expanding the VIMC brand globally."

The sustained success of VIMC is built upon five core values that the corporation has steadfastly pursued throughout its development: discipline, dedication, creativity, unity, and integrity. These values help VIMC build an effective working environment and serve as the foundation for maintaining strong growth in long-term strategies.

Discipline is crucial in ensuring each VIMC individual adheres to procedures and meets standards across all operations. This creates stability and efficiency in work.

Dedication reflects the service spirit towards customers and partners, constantly striving to deliver the best services to meet increasing market demands. Creativity represents the continuous innovation and solution-finding ability in addressing complex issues and new challenges as the industry evolves, enhancing work efficiency and competitive capacity both domestically and internationally.

Unity demonstrates VIMC's internal solidarity, creating collective strength in facing challenges and achieving common goals. Integrity helps VIMC maintain a transparent working environment, with decisions and actions directed towards the benefits of customers, partners, and society. These values are not just VIMC's operational compass, but also key factors helping VIMC achieve major accomplishments and grow strongly in the maritime industry.

Modern seaport infrastructure development projects, IT application in management, along with sustainable development strategies will help VIMC continue to rise, affirming its role and responsibility in the country's overall economic development.

In 2025, VIMC will celebrate its 30th anniversary by implementing a series of technology innovation projects in service of digitalisation while focusing on developing high-quality human resources. Maintaining and developing the corporation's five core values will be the key factor helping VIMC sustain and enhance its achievements, opening up a bright future for Vietnam's maritime industry.
