Speaking at the ceremony, Truong Minh Tien, CEO of Viet Research, emphasised the significance of these rankings in honouring enterprises that prioritise professional and creative workplaces. “For the third consecutive year, Viet Research, in collaboration with VIR, has conducted in-depth surveys and unveiled the Top 500 Leading Employers and the Top 10 Best Places to Work in Vietnam 2024. These rankings not only commend businesses for their achievements but also affirm their credibility and appeal to talent both locally and globally,” he said.
Tien added that the initiative acknowledges companies leading the way in sustainable development and innovation, delivering lasting value to stakeholders and society.
Survey findings by Viet Research underline the growing importance of employer branding, with 65.5 per cent of companies recognising its role in attracting top talent. Additionally, 80 per cent of VALUE500 companies have prioritised sustainability through environmental initiatives and reducing their ecological footprint. Looking ahead, 75.9 per cent of businesses anticipate that sustainability policies will significantly shape workplace practices within the next three years.
Amid this backdrop, Vietnam’s labour market is undergoing significant changes driven by digital transformation and globalisation.
Key trends include rising demand for digital skills, greater flexibility in work methods, and shifts in economic structures. Advanced technologies, an increased focus on high-quality labour, and the growth of green economic sectors are projected to lead the market in the coming years. These developments present opportunities for economic growth but also challenges in workforce training and adaptation.
Reflecting on 2024’s challenges and milestones, Le Trong Minh, editor-in-chief of VIR, highlighted the resilience and adaptability of Vietnamese businesses. “This year has been marked by global economic fluctuations and domestic challenges such as real estate market struggles, currency volatility, and natural disasters. Despite these obstacles, many enterprises have embraced sustainable development, digital transformation with AI, and enhanced social responsibility,” Minh said.
He noted that these efforts have improved productivity, product quality, and labour market conditions, ensuring high demand for skilled professionals and vocational workers.

Minh also emphasised the broader purpose of the ceremony. “This event not only celebrates outstanding enterprises but also serves as a platform for business leaders to exchange insights, foster collaboration, and explore opportunities. It plays a crucial role in strengthening the reputation and competitiveness of Vietnamese businesses as they strive for deeper regional and global integration,” he said.
As part of the event, a human resources seminar took place, featuring the participation of domestic and international experts. Vu Minh Khuong, associate professor from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, delivered a presentation titled "Attracting and Developing Talent—The Key Driver for Sustainable Prosperity in the 5.0 Era."
Adam McCarty, chief economist at Mekong Economics Consultancy, shared insights on "Trends and Job Opportunities in Emerging Industries." Additionally, Vo Tri Thanh, director of the Institute for Brand and Competition Strategy, presented"Enterprises in the Green Era: Unlocking Sustainable Value to Build a Prosperous Future."
In the face of rapid digital transformation, businesses are finding it increasingly challenging to attract and retain high-quality talent. Building a strong employer brand and embedding sustainable practices have become essential strategies for maintaining competitiveness and fostering corporate responsibility.
The event concluded with gratitude extended to sponsors, including Vietcombank and VietinBank as Diamond Partners, as well as other key supporters. With the participation of over 200 representatives from leading businesses, economic experts, and media outlets, the event successfully reinforced its commitment to honouring Vietnam’s top enterprises and driving sustainable growth.
