OCOP products from across Vietnam on display at Hanoi fair

The fair, held at the Royal City Trade Center Square, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi, showcases One Commune One Product (OCOP) products, regional specialties, and handicrafts from various provinces across the country.

Organized by the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA), it aims to boost consumption, connect businesses, and build a sustainable supply chain.

Over 100 enterprises from 33 provinces and cities will display more than 1,000 distinctive and high-quality products at the fair.

Nearly 180 stalls will feature local specialties such as Cao Bang glass noodles, Me Tri young sticky rice, Cao Phong orange, Ha Giang Shan Tuyet tea, ceramics and handicrafts products.

Speaking at the fair's opening ceremony on December 25, Nguyen Tran Quang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Promotion Agency, emphasized the fair's role in fostering connections between domestic and international distributors and producers to create a long-term and sustainable supply chain for local and export markets.

He said the fair aims to enhance consumer awareness and confidence in the quality and brand of Vietnamese products, in line with the “Vietnamese People Give Priority to Using Vietnamese Goods” campaign.

According to the HPA, the city has been active in organizing festivals, fairs, and exhibitions to promote OCOP products, linking culture with tourism and traditional handicrafts.

So far this year, Hanoi has hosted numerous events to promote OCOP products, including the Hanoi Tourism Festival, the Hanoi Gift Festival, and the Hanoi Culinary and Traditional Craft Tourism Festival, which attracted large crowds and marketed local handicrafts.

The city has classified more than 1,650 OCOP products by the end of 2023, meeting 83% of the 2021-2025 period's plan.

In 2024, districts nominated an additional 510 products for classification, allowing Hanoi to exceed its target one year ahead of schedule.
