Taste of Malaysia promotion programme opens at MM Mega Market
The “Taste of Malaysia” programme to promote Malaysian food and and beverages has opened at MM Mega Market An Phú in HCM City.

This year marks the first collaboration between MMVN, the Malaysian consulate in HCM City and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation and is being held at 11 Mega Market stores across the country between November 28 and December 11.
The event is showcasing hundreds of premium Malaysian culinary products such as lobster balls, fish tofu, herring in tomato sauce, bean curd in tomato sauce, milk tea, chocolate, and soft drinks, and is offering discounts of up to 27 per cent on selected products.
Firdauz Othman, the Malaysian consul general in HCM City, said: "The event today is not just about promoting Malaysia’s products, but also promoting cultural exchanges, mutual understanding and the spirit of collaboration between Việt Nam and Malaysia.
“From delectable bakery items and refreshing beverages to nourishing health and beauty products and sustainable agricultural goods, each product tells a story of our rich heritage, dedication to quality and ambition for global success for Vietnamese consumers to explore and try out.
“By showcasing the best of Malaysian products, we aim to enrich the Vietnamese market and elevate the shopping experience for our valued customers.”
On the opening day MM Mega Market also organised a Professional Customer Panel to introduce to the hotel - restaurant - canteen sector ingredients and spices for making Malaysian foods.

Đinh Quang Khôi, marketing director of MM Mega Market Việt Nam, said: “Compared to other neighbouring countries, Malaysian cuisine is still quite new to Vietnamese consumers.
“Therefore, in the first cooperation with the consulate and MATRADE, we hope to promote quality Malaysian foods and beverages … to Vietnamese consumers."
On the same day, the Malaysian ambassador to Việt Nam, Dato' Tan Yang Thai, celebrated the Taste of Malaysia event at MM Mega Market Thăng Long in Hà Nội.
“By sharing our diverse and innovative goods, we not only promote Malaysian products but also enhance economic ties with Việt Nam,” he said.
“Taste of Malaysia” is part of the supermarket’s "Taste of Country" annual series to showcase the unique culinary traditions of countries from around the world.
