Organized by the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) in collaboration with the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, this event takes place in Hanoi from November 7 to 8.

At a press conference on October 23, Vu Quoc Huy, director of NIC, announced that the exhibition aims to enhance Vietnam's position in the global semiconductor supply chain.

This first-ever event will feature key semiconductor companies from Vietnam and abroad, showcasing around 100 booths from leading international firms and attracting over 5,000 delegates.

The exhibition is part of a broader initiative to implement the Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy and enhance human resources in this sector.

Huy emphasized that it represents a proactive effort by the Ministry of Planning and Investment to foster international cooperation, mobilize resources for industry development, and facilitate business investments between local and foreign companies.

Vo Xuan Hoai, deputy director of NIC, noted that the event will bring together numerous foreign semiconductor companies involved in various stages of the semiconductor process, ranging from design and manufacturing to quality testing and material production.

Approximately 30 significant international semiconductor firms have confirmed their participation.

Linda Tan, president of SEMI Southeast Asia, said that this exhibition will benefit Vietnam as an emerging player in the global semiconductor supply chain.

She stated that it serves as a platform for collaboration, innovation, and strategic partnerships.

The Global Semiconductor Alliance anticipates that Vietnam's semiconductor market will grow to $7.01 billion by 2028, with an average annual growth rate of about 6.69 percent.
