Promotion week for Chi Lăng custard apples held in Hà Nội

A promotion week for Chi Lăng custard apples and Lạng Sơn Province’s farm produces has opened in Hà Nội to support the consumption and market expansion for these agricultural products.

The event on Thursday morning, attracted 70 booths from cooperatives, enterprises and farmers’ associations from provinces and cities across the country from Hà Giang, Lạng Sơn, Lai Châu to Phú Yên, Cần Thơ and Cà Mau.

A diversity of farm produces was on display, including Chi Năng custard apples, star anise, dried macadamia nuts, Bảo Lâm seedless persimmon, Vành Khuyên Văn Lẵng persimmon and Tràng Định black jelly from Lạng Sơn Province, together with other agro-forestry-fishery products which are produced organically and ecologically and products from One-Community-One Product programme.

Nguyễn Minh Tiến, Director of the Trade Promotion Centre for Agriculture, said that the promotion week provides opportunities for localities, enterprises, cooperatives to boost networking and expand domestic markets.

Within the framework of the programme, the Buôn Ma Thuột Coffee Association joined with Coffee & Tea Việt Nam and Simexco Đắk Lắk to organise a event to promote coffee products.

Sales will be livestreamed on social media platforms to promote sales of the farm produce.
