The month-long programme is organised by the city Department of Industry and Trade, MVCPRO Co., Ltd, and other organisations, in response to the 2024 Shopping Season that seeks to stimulate consumption, promote production and trading, and affirm the city’s position as a modern shopping hub of the country and even region.

Speaking at the opening ceremony held at Dương Đình Nghệ Park in District 11, Nguyễn Nguyên Phương, the department’s deputy director, said the programme aims to bring quality consumer goods at attractive prices, especially to low-income earners.

It also seeks to become an annual event that meets the needs and expectations of both the public and businesses, stimulate consumption, promote commercial activities, and contribute to the city’s economic recovery, he said.

After starting in District 11, the programme will be held alternately in the city’s districts, export processing zones, industrial parks, and high-tech parks.
