FPT expands presence with new office in Shanghai

The office, situated in a bustling business district of Shanghai, will bolster FPT’s delivery and consulting services for global clients, particularly in key industries such as aerospace, automotive, health tech, and artificial intelligence. The location offers excellent transport links and benefits from favorable business policies, making it an ideal base for multinational companies.

Shanghai, contributing about 10% of China’s GDP, is renowned for its robust IT ecosystem and a skilled workforce of around 500,000 IT engineers. Leveraging this extensive talent pool, FPT plans to expand its Shanghai team to 300 employees, as part of a broader goal to grow its workforce across China to 3,000 over the next five years.

Pham Thanh Tuan, CEO of FPT China, emphasised that the new office will be pivotal for the company’s growth, particularly in recruiting top-tier technology engineers in high-demand areas such as project management and strategic consulting. The Shanghai office is set to become a central hub for FPT's technological and talent-driven initiatives. By integrating AI across its solutions and services, FPT aims to deliver unparalleled innovation to its customers.

Since its entry into the Chinese market in 2017, FPT has established a strong presence with offices and delivery centers in Shanghai, Nanning, Suzhou, and Dalian. The company maintains strategic partnerships with leading Chinese firms in the automotive and semiconductor sectors and collaborates with local universities to nurture a robust talent pipeline.
