CDC mulls launching online investment application form
Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) said that the CDC plans to launch an online investment application form to make it easier for investors to apply online.
CDC will present this project to Prime Minister Hun Manet as well as the Council of Ministers on August 28.
Addressing the Picasso Sky Gemme launch ceremony on Thursday, Chanthol said, “All we do at CDC is to make it easier to coordinate and simplify related programs by digitalizing the public services.”
Chanthol said that in fact, CDC is ready to launch the investment project management system to the public called CDC Investment Project Management (CDCIPM) which is a technology system for investors to apply for investment project registration from anywhere, including applying, payment of service fee and also obtaining a digital project registration certificate and until reach out to connect with relevant ministries and institutions in the future.
“I will present to Samdech Prime Minister as well as the Council of Ministers on August 28 about the digital online project. Investors do not have to submit documents to the CDC, they can apply online,” Chanthol emphasised.
This is the first phase of the CDC to attract investment, Chanthol said, adding that the second phase is to connect the CDCIPM to some ministries and institutions that he discussed with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, Ministry of Commerce, and General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia to connect with CDCIPM.
“This is a system to make it easier for investors. This system will automatically connect with other relevant ministries and institutions to make it easier to invest in Cambodia.”
Chanthol urged investors to be ready to use the online system and hoped that by next week the system would be officially launched after it gets approval by the Prime Minister.
