It was placed in first place in the report "Vietnamese Travel Trends 2024" by Kompa - one of the leading companies in DATA intelligence and Big Data & AI Applications.

With over a decade of experience, Kompa has been at the forefront of applying data technology (A.I, machine learning) on the Big Data platform, providing data analysis solutions to hundreds of small, medium, and large enterprises in Việt Nam. This has enabled businesses to gain deep market insights and optimise their operations. Kompa's "Vietnamese Travel Trends 2024" report aims to help businesses in the ever-evolving travel industry understand the latest travel trends and tourist behaviours, allowing them to seize market opportunities and enhance their competitive advantage.

According to the report, booking services and searching for information on travel apps with many convenient features have become a common trend in Vietnamese tourism. The Silicon Valley-based company surveyed over 82,000 social media users, exceeding one million discussions.

Traveloka stands out as the most frequently discussed platform due to its ability to meet various user requirements, such as competitive pricing, a user-friendly interface, robust functionality, and extensive customization options in travel applications. The report, which collected data from diverse user groups, including entrepreneurs, business owners, CEOs, office workers, freelancers, photographers, students, journalists and engineers, highlights these findings. The gender distribution of respondents is 68 per cent male and 32 per cent female, with Millennials and Gen Z making up 72 per cent of the users, Gen X accounting for 16 per cent, and Baby Boomers comprising 13 per cent.

Iko Putera, CEO of Transport, Traveloka, said: “As we move forward to become one of the most customer-centric companies in the industry, being recognised as the leading travel app discussed on social media, based on Kompa's data, underscores Traveloka's nine-year commitment and dedication in Việt Nam, one of our key markets. Intending to ignite a passion for travel and make travel accessible for everyone, Traveloka closely observes user behaviour to meet growing demands.

"The surge in users leveraging travel apps and social platforms for itinerary research and design motivates us to enhance our offerings. Through diverse promotional programs, curated destinations, and seamless travel experiences, we aim to inspire Vietnamese travellers and set new trends in the travel industry.”
