This image shows a corner of the MTA Vietnam 2023 that took place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, southern Vietnam on July 4-7, 2023.

The four-day event takes place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, under the organization of Informa Markets Vietnam and several domestic and foreign trade promotion agencies.

The exhibition will gather 323 exhibitors coming from more than 15 countries and territories, namely the U.S., Germany, Italy, Japan, India, Poland, Turkey, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Vietnam.

This annual event is expected to provide a valuable networking and trading space for the business community and industry experts.

It will feature 13 international booth groups, including five from South Korea, three from Taiwan, two from China and one each from Germany, Singapore and Italy.

Prominent from these groups is the one from Germany, jointly represented by the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, and the Association of German Trade Fair Industry.

With an area of 16,000 square meters, spanning all four exhibition halls at SECC, the event is expected to attract about 16,000 visitors.

This is an opportunity for businesses to introduce their latest products and services to customers, meet and discuss directly with potential partners, expand their business network, and capture new technology trends.

The MTA Vietnam 2024 will boast a diverse display portfolio, focusing on product and service groups such as metal cutting and shaping machines; sheet and cast metal, and molds thereof; welding technologies; machining and cutting tools; and automated technologies; surface measurement, inspection and treatment; heat treatment; raw materials and fuels; among others.

The exhibition promises to become an opportunity for trade exchanges and update of advanced equipment and technology in the industry from around the world, with the presence of many leading players including businesses such as Amada, Trumpf, Salvagnini, LVD, Jinan Bodor, Yamazen, Hwacheon, Roeders, United Grinding, Makino, Mazak, Haitian, Blum, and MST, to name a few.

Like previous times, this year’s exhibition will also cover a series of specialized seminars, gathering leading experts and centering on such topics as smart process manufacturing towards carbon neutrality, 3D printing technology, original design manufacturer (ODM), and others.

Notably, the exhibition’s organizers will join Ho Chi Minh City-based Small and Medium Enterprises Development Support Center 2 (SMEDEC 2) to launch the second ‘MTA Robot Challenges’ competition with the participation of a large number of contestants from 10 universities in the city.

The competition creates opportunities for students to demonstrate their creativity, thinking capacity, teamwork skills and robot programming ability, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources and nurturing the next generation of automation engineers in the future.
