The paper and packaging exhibition (VPPE 2024) has around 300 stalls displaying numerous products, including pulp, packaging and machinery and equipment from nearly 500 companies from countries around the world such as Japan, China, South Korea, Germany, and Italy.
Visitors can see modern technologies such as flow control and automation solutions for paper and pulp, paper ropes, biodegradable food trays, carton box manufacturing machines, and others.
The electricity and machinery exhibition (EMA Vietnam 2024) has 200 stalls set up by over 300 domestic and international companies to display technologies in the fields of electricity, energy and automation.
Võ Văn Minh, chairman of the Bình Dương Province People’s Committee, said the exhibitions aim to help businesses promote their products and network with potential customers.
The province is a part of the southern key economic zone, and its economy is dynamic and growing rapidly, he said.
It has been focusing on industrialisation and modernisation, and is now one of the country’s leading industrial provinces, he said.
Paper and packaging are among Việt Nam’s fast growing industries, with expected growth of up to 20 per cent a year for the next few years, he said.
Việt Nam has over 900 businesses and factories in the paper and packaging industries, 70 per cent of them in the south, mainly HCM City, Bình Dương and Đồng Nai.
The exhibitions are being held at Thủ Dầu Một City’s WTC Expo until May 10, and will also feature conferences, business-to-business networking and trade facilitation activities.
