Wing Bank inspires Cambodians' savings goals

Whether saving for a wedding, funding a child's higher education, buying a dream home or joining a startup venture, 'Save for Goal' empowers individuals or groups to achieve their financial aspirations more effectively.

Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc has launched its latest financial solution to help Cambodians cultivate a saving habit while growing their income with a high rate of interest, enabling them to achieve their short, medium or long-term financial aspirations.

The "Save for Goal" account–powered by Wing Bank–stands out as the go-to solution for planning a fairy tale wedding or saving up to visit a desired vacation destination, or to fund education, buy a dream home or start a business.

Whatever the desired goal to save for, it provides the flexibility and motivation to transform aspirations into tangible reality.

“With the Save for Goal account, customers will be able to unlock a powerful savings tool that combines convenience, flexibility and high-yield interest rates, propelling them towards their dreams faster than ever before,” said Han Peng Kwang, CEO of Wing Bank.

The Save for Goal account–available in Cambodian riel (KHR) and US dollar (USD) accounts–boasts attractive interest rates, ranging from one to 60 months, allowing customers to earn a high interest rate of 8.75 per cent per annum.

This high yield encourages diligent saving and the maximisation of returns.

Save for Goal operates similarly to a term deposit account but offers added flexibility, meaning customers

can schedule deposits from anywhere at any time, choosing from daily, weekly, biweekly or monthly options to suit their financial preferences.

To open a Save for Goal account, customers must have the Wing Bank App. The account requires a minimum initial deposit of only US$5, providing access to all individual customers, and making it inclusive and achievable for a wide range of savers.

One of the standout features of the Save for Goal account is the ability to save as an individual or as part of a group in a single pooled account, accommodating up to 10 members.

Each individual and group can open up to five accounts, providing a range of goal options that they need to save for.

Staying motivated and tracking progress towards financial goals is another key feature of a Save for Goal account.

Through the Wing Bank App, individual or joint account members can easily monitor their savings and oversee the steady growth of their funds, ensuring they remain on track to accomplish their goals.
