Vinh Long confirms 13 projects worth $790 million
The Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long has issued investment policy decisions, investment certificates, and memoranda on investment cooperation to 13 projects with the total registered capital of nearly VND19.6 trillion ($790 million).
The issuance took place within the framework of a conference on March 23 to announce Vinh Long's planning for the period towards 2030.
Specifically, the province has two projects in the food processing industry. Acecook Vietnam JSC will invest $84.8 million in a food processing factory, while Danny Vietnam will develop a fast food and food processing factory worth $3.6 million.
In the agriculture and seafood sector, Hai Dai Vinh Long Co., Ltd. is injecting another $10.9 million into an animal, poultry, and seafood feed factory. Meanwhile, Phuong Nam Dai Phat Technology Investment is building a rice processing mill with a total investment capital of $4.5 million.
In the vehicle industry, Furukawa Automotive Systems Vinh Long Vietnam will build a factory to produce wire harnesses with an additional registered capital of $9.65 million.
In addition, Duy Tan Plastics Co., Ltd. will pour $28.3 million into the Tan Binh Industrial Cluster while Ty Bach Co., Ltd. will make an additional $29.3 million investment into its footwear project.
Other projects include the $7.4 million Saigon - Eco Petroleum Warehouse, the $4.8 million Vinh Long cold storage, and the $18 million Vinh Long shipbuilding and repair factory. Another company, HLK Vietnam JSC, will also implement the $18 million urban embellishment of the Commercial and Service Centre in Hamlet 1, Long Ho Town.
T&T Corporation is the investor of the Vinh Long provincial administrative centre urban area with the total investment capital of $565.7 million, one of the largest projects in the locality.
