These international visitors mainly came from South Korea, China, Taiwan, the U.S., and India.

The Vietnamese capital saw its tourism revenue during the said period up 32.9 percent compared to last year, at an estimated VND725 billion (US$29.7 million), the city’s Department of Tourism said.

The average room occupancy of one- to five-star hotels in the city stood at 50.4 percent, improving 10.1 percent versus the same period in 2023.

The capital city hosted a wide range of programs to welcome in the Year of the Dragon.

A drone light show which featured 2,024 colorful drones at West Lake in Tay Ho District on Friday night stole the limelight.

Besides, cultural events, music performances, and exhibitions under the theme of Tet held in the Hanoi Old Quarter have drawn significant attention from visitors.
