PM Chinh arrived at Esenboga International Airport in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, on Tuesday evening (local time), starting his official visit to that country through Thursday.

After his two-day Turkey visit, PM Chinh will leave Ankara for Dubai to attend the 28th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP28) at the invitation of the government of the United Arab Emirates.

Speaking of the potential cooperation between Vietnam and Turkey, Minister Bolat said more and more Turkish firms, mainly active in the construction and industrial production fields, are eyeing investment in Vietnam.

Bolat also announced that a delegation of Turkish enterprises will visit Vietnam in 2024 to seek cooperation and investment opportunities.

He affirmed that PM Chinh’s Turkey visit constitutes a key milestone for the 45th anniversary of bilateral ties between the two nations and boosts their partnership.

Addressing the reception, PM Chinh congratulated Turkey on its achievements in economic diversification and its efforts to foster the industry, agriculture, and construction growth, while elevating tech application.

The Vietnamese government leader also highly valued the role of the Turkish Ministry of Trade in boosting economic partnership between the two countries.

PM Chinh proposed the Turkish trade ministry closely collaborate with Vietnamese agencies to put some cooperation plans into practice.

Among them is a scheme to start negotiations on a Vietnam-Turkey free trade agreement.

The top Vietnamese official also suggested the two nations should roll out more trade and investment promotion programs, expecting Turkey to open a wider door for Vietnamese goods.
