Tina encourages high-grade, organic pepper production
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Dith Tina recommends that more growers cultivate and package organic Khmer pepper. They should respect international standards of sanitation and follow best agricultural practices, as Khmer organic pepper is in high demand in both export and domestic markets.
He made the recommendations on January 27 while inspecting the cultivation, processing and packaging processes of the Sela Pepper Co Ltd in Memot district, Tbong Khmum province.
“Khmer organic pepper is popular and in high demand in both export and domestic markets. To exploit its sales potential, we need to cultivate and package the products in line with international phytosanitary standards and best agricultural practices” he said in a social media post.
