Food & Hotel Vietnam exhibition 2022 opens in HCMC
The 11th international food & drink, hotel, restaurant, bakery & food service equipment, supplies & services exhibition (Food & Hotel Vietnam 2022) has opened from December 7-9 at Saigon Exhibition & Conference Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).
The exhibition aims to build the linkage for enterprises to establish valuable connection with potential business partners, approach market trends and improve operational efficiency.
As Vietnam's top international food, drink & hospitality exhibition for the past 15 years, Food & Hotel Vietnam 2022 (FHV) obtains more than 300 leading domestic and foreign enterprises in the exhibition area of over 10,000 m2. In which, more than 65 percent are international businesses from over 28 countries and territories. FHV is proud to have the presence of 21 international pavilion groups from the EU, Germany, Italy, UK, Belgium (3 groups), Australia, Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain (2 groups), USA, Canada (3 groups), Uruguay, Singapore, Japan, etc.

At FHV 2022, European Union Pavilion has showcased the unique characteristics and growing variety of European food and drinks at booth BJ5-01. Giorgio Aliberti, Ambassador of the European Union to Vietnam, said: “European Union agricultural food and beverages stand for authenticity, high quality, safety and sustainability. FHV 2022 offers us a fitting platform to showcase the rich potential of pairing European and Vietnamese food and create The Perfect Match!”
USA Pavilion gathers more than 24 companies and organizers at FHV 2022, showcasing the bakery & confectionery, beverage & drink, canned food/ condiments, catering, dairy products, fresh products, meat & poultry, snacks, natural/organic/health food, specialty food/ fine food. Speaking at USA Pavilion opening ceremony, Susan Burns, U.S. Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, said: “Every exhibitor here today is key in supporting American farmers, ranchers, fishing industries, and other food businesses, as well as providing Vietnamese consumers with reliable and high-quality products. All of you are contributing to the growing and dynamic trade relationship between our two countries… Vietnam is now the eighth largest export market for U.S. food and agricultural products, while the United States is Vietnam's largest agricultural export market. Our total bilateral agricultural trade has more than doubled from over US$4 billion in 2011 to over $9 billion in 2021. Food and beverages also are products that bring people together and share our countries’ cultures.”
Canadian National Pavilion at FHV 2022 unites more than 20 companies and associations, providing a great space for products discovery and business-to-business meetings. Canadian products on showcase includes beef, fish and seafood, snacks, maple syrup, dairy, peas, alcohol and others. Canadian participation at FHV 2022 demonstrates Canadian industry’s commitment to Vietnam as one of the most important markets in Canadian export diversification strategy. In 2021, Canadian agri-food and seafood exports to Vietnam reached more than CAD$370 million. Canadian Consul General Behzad Babakhani in HCMC highlighted the advantage of Canadian food industry and the opportunity to grow Canada-Vietnam bilateral trade in agriculture, agri-food and seafood under the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) agreement.
