CapitaLand Development wins twice at PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards

CapitaLand Development (CLD), the development arm of CapitaLand Group, clinched ‘Best Housing Development’ and ‘Best Eco-Friendly Housing Development’ for Sycamore, CLD’s first large-scale residential property in Vietnam, at the prestigious PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final 2022 held on 9 December 2022.

This is the third year CLD has received top honours at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, one of the most sought-after awards where the region’s finest developers are recognised.

CLD’s recognitions at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards follow its recent win of ‘Best Housing Development’, ‘Best Residential Masterplan Design’ and ‘Best Eco-Friendly Housing Development’ for Sycamore in October 2022 at the PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2022, where CLD also received the ‘Special Recognition for CSR’ award.

According to Ronald Tay, CEO of CLD (Vietnam), receiving these accolades reaffirms CLD's commitment to excellence in developing top-quality properties for discerning and eco-conscious homeowners.

Sycamore is strategically located in the fast-developing Binh Duong New City, about 30 kilometres from Ho Chi Minh City.

With a total area of 18.9 hectares, the prime large-scale residential project is expected to comprise over 3,700 freehold units across a mix of low-, mid-, and high-rise developments, providing quality homes for about 13,000 residents. Sycamore is slated for launch in the second quarter of 2023, with the first phase to be completed in 2024, while the rest of the project is scheduled for completion in 2027.

Boasting a premium, resort-style design, Sycamore comprises seven enclaves with their own private entrance. Two will offer spacious terraced houses, semi-detached houses and villas with private clubhouses and gardens. Residents who prefer high-rise properties will find themselves at home at the 24-storey towers in four enclaves, and each will come with food & beverage and retail outlets such as convenience stores, café, restaurants and spas. The seventh enclave will feature a 10-storey apartment.

Homeowners will be drawn to Sycamore's biophilic and sustainable features. The 10,000-sq.m central park within the mid-rise development will be ideal for residents to connect or unwind.

Sycamore will also be home to a plethora of green spaces, offering ample shade, reducing the ambient temperature and contributing to residents' overall wellness.

Sustainable transport infrastructure will also be incorporated to encourage more homeowners to lead sustainable lifestyles. Sycamore is slated to introduce Binh Duong New City’s first electric vehicle-ready development. Bicycle lanes and pedestrian-friendly pavements will also be available to encourage residents to leave their cars at home for shorter journeys.

There will also be electric vehicle buggies shuttling across the two low-rise residential developments. Rainwater will be collected and recycled to irrigate the park and other green spaces.

Sycamore is expected to obtain Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies certification from the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group.

CLD has a portfolio worth approximately Singapore $21.3 billion as of 30 September 2022. Its well-established real estate development capabilities span various asset classes, including integrated developments, retail, office, lodging, residential, business parks, industrial, logistics and data centres.

CapitaLand (Vietnam)’s portfolio comprises one retail mall, one SOHO development, two integrated developments, and over 13,000 quality homes across 17 residential developments. Its strong expertise in master planning, land development and project execution has won numerous accolades, including Asia Pacific Property Awards, PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, and Golden Dragon Award.
