The department’s director Tran Quang Tan said industry has become a main driving force for the province's growth. Bac Giang is home to tens of thousands of industrial production facilities, including a large number of foreign-invested companies. The well-invested industrial park and transport infrastructure has encouraged businesses to step up investment and expand production and trading activities in the province.

Leaders of the province and the department, as well as provincial authorities, regularly consult with businesses in order to improve the investment environment. The Bac Giang Province Industrial Zone Authority recently held a meeting with representatives of almost 200 enterprises. At the meeting, chair of the authority Dao Xuan Cuong answered enterprises’ questions and pledged to create the most favorable conditions for investors, including administrative procedure simplification for early project implementation and expansion, and production and trading stabilization, among others. Cuong proposed that existing investors help the province attract additional large investment projects to provincial industrial parks.

The Bac Giang Province Department of Science and Technology has worked with the provincial industrial zone authority to apply advanced management solutions in order to help businesses improve competitiveness, productivity and product quality.
