The provincial people's committee approved its 2022 industry promotion plan to implement 12 business promotion projects and four annual smaller plans at a total cost of more than VND2.768 billion. The department has tested and approved three of these projects, valued a total of VND625 million.
Most of the project beneficiaries are operating efficiently and on a stable and sustainable basis, and they have joined international economic integration, created more jobs and increased employee incomes, Tuan said.
Efficient industry promotion projects have significantly contributed to industrial development in Tay Ninh Province. In the first nine months of 2022, the province's index of industrial production (IIP) increased 20.1 percent over the same period last year.
Tay Ninh is focusing on intensive processing of farm produce while boosting smart technology-based and environmentally friendly manufacturing, further exploiting the potential of solar power, and developing electric grid infrastructure.
The province has also planned industrial zone development to attract investment in high quality, sustainable industry. From 2016-2020, the province’s IIP increased an average of 16.2 percent per year, with that in the 2021-2025 period expected to grow 15.5 percent, Tuan said.
The province’s industry promotion sector will continue to closely follow the provincial socioeconomic development plan, and build practical projects to further contribute to industrial development in the region.
