Saigon Hi-tech Park to hit $23 billion in export turnover

The Saigon Hi-tech Park Management Authority expects its businesses to reach $23 billion in export turnover this year.

The Saigon Hi-tech Park Management Authority (SHTP) is set to see an export turnover of about $23 billion this year.

According to SHTP, the export turnover of businesses in the SHTP in 2021 was $20.9 billion, making up 52 per cent of the total export value of Ho Chi Minh City.

To date, foreign investors have poured capital into 51 projects in the park with a total accumulated figure of $10.1 billion.

Many large groups such as Intel, Jabil from the United States, Nipro, Nidec from Japan, Samsung from South Korea, and Datalogic from Italy have contributed.

Many manufacturers have continuously expanded their operations in the SHTP. Intel's assembly and test facility in the SHTP is now the US' biggest high-tech project in Vietnam.
