Khanh Hoa develops rural industrial products

The south-central province of Khanh Hoa has held five events honoring outstanding rural industrial products over the past decade, awarding district-level and provincial-level recognition to 321 and 186 products, respectively. The products include handicraft and fine art articles, processed farm produce, forest products, seafood and foodstuffs and spare parts for mechanical machinery and equipment.

According to the provincial Industry and Trade Promotion Center, product recognition not only helps promote and develop valuable and potential products, but also provides opportunities for rural industrial manufacturers to strengthen research and development and trade connections, expand markets and improve competitiveness, enhance product design and technology, expand production and create attractive products of high economic value.

Recognized outstanding rural industrial products are of high economic value and attractive design

Using provincial industry promotion funding, the center has coordinated with the media to promote outstanding rural industrial products through provincial departments’ electronic publications and newsletters and the center’s website.

Khanh Hoa has implemented 33 projects to develop provincial, regional and national-level recognized products while enabling manufacturers to participate in trade fairs and exhibitions inside and outside the province.

The center hopes the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) will continue to support manufacturers of outstanding rural industrial products in product promotion and branding through participation in domestic and foreign trade promotion events.

The center has also suggested that the Khanh Hoa Province People's Committee and the Agency for Regional Industry and Trade further consider local and national industry promotion support for rural industrial producers to help them innovate technology and equipment, and improve productivity and product quality.
