Vietnam Jan-July rice exports at 4.16mln tonnes, up 19.9% y/y: stats office

Vietnam's rice exports in the January-July period are estimated to have risen about 20% from a year earlier to 4.16 million tonnes, government data released on Friday showed.

 

Revenue from rice exports in the period is seen up 8.5% to $2.6 billion.

July rice exports from Vietnam, the world's leading shipper of the grain, likely totalled 670,000 tonnes, worth $331 million.
