Regional connectivity advantage transforms Ba Ria-Vung Tau into tourism hotspot

With a convenient location in the southern key economic region and only one hour and 30 minutes away from Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau has much potential in its tourism development.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau is the gateway province reaching out to the sea of the southern key economic region with the Cai Mep-Thi Vai deep-water seaport system which was planned as a special national and international transhipment port.

Over the years, Ba Ria-Vung Tau focused on planning and investing in infrastructure and is now ready to link up with the whole region to develop its economy. Many important seaports, highways, and airports are a driving force helping Ba Ria-Vung Tau develop its economy.

Currently, the province is building a national and international logistics and supply centre at Cai Mep Ha to create a synchronous and continuous connection between the Cai Mep-Thi Vai seaport, the Long Thanh International airport, and major industrial hubs in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Dong Nai.

As the leading locality in the country in terms of intra-provincial traffic development, the transport system of Ba Ria-Vung Tau is ready to connect to national traffic projects such as the Bien Hoa highway to Vung Tau, the Ben Luc-Long Thanh and Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressways, and the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport.

It is expected that, when Long Thanh International Airport is completed and put into operation, Ba Ria-Vung Tau will become a global tourist destination.

Tourism and resort real estate breakthroughs

Along with the advantage of its regional connections, Ba Ria-Vung Tau also has marine resources, primaeval forests, and diverse terrains including mountains, hills, and sea, with a coastline of more than 300 kilometres. It has been the tourism hotspot of Vietnam for a long time.

Statistics show that 15-16 million visitors come to Ba Ria-Vung Tau annually. Of those, more than three million stays have brought about an average revenue of more than VND5,000 billion ($217 million) per year.

According to the tourism development strategy of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province to 2030 with a vision for 2050, the province's goal is to develop the tourism industry sustainably and turn it into one of the four important economic pillars. The province is oriented to become one of the leading beach resort entertainment centres in Southeast Asia.

The combination of economic and tourism development in Ba Ria-Vung Tau has created a great attraction of investment capital to the locality, turning the province into a destination for prestigious domestic and international real estate brands.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau has great connections with other regions to speed up the development of tourism and resort real estate

According to Dr. Su Ngoc Khuong, deputy director of the Research Institute of Informatics and Applied Economics, Ba Ria-Vung Tau is also a destination for many individuals and families to look for a second home.

"This is because of the rapid urbanisation and the development of roads and education facilities in both urban and rural areas. Especially in the central area of Vung Tau city, the service system for residents and visitors has been upgraded accompanied by a national standard education system and convenient medical examination and treatment services so that local residents can enjoy their high qualified lives," Khuong said. Thus, the coastal city could be an ideal place to enjoy a fresh living space.

Meanwhile, investors can choose tourist apartment projects with potential in the centre of Vung Tau city for rental businesses or directly rent out their apartments on multiple platforms.

Investors and families looking for an apartment in the centre of Vung Tau city can find information about the FiveSeasons Homes Vung Tau Central Beach project under 1900 6958 and on fiveseasonshomes.com.vn.
