Coteccons won series of large projects with total value of more than $435 million in Q1
In the first quarter of 2022, Coteccons (CTD) and its member company Unicons (UNC) made a mark with large bidding packages valued at over $435 million.
Coteccons strengthens its position as the leading contractor in Vietnam
A series of large names in the market including Hoa Phat, Charm Group, VinGroup, and Novaland have chosen Coteccons as the main contractor in their recent projects. The company’s representative explained that it is the result of its four unique values called COTECCONS INSIDE which have made it such a prestigious and brand.
Coteccons upholds its commitment to environmental sustainability in all projects, diversifying products and services and focusing on customer experience to add value to the process of operations and business cooperation.
Following the success of the first phase, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel JSC - under the Hoa Phat Group - recently chose Coteccons as the general contractor for phase two, which involves building an iron refining plant as part of the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Production Complex 2 Project.
The project has a total investment of dozens of millions dollars, using advanced technology to produce high quality hot rolled steel coil. Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 is expected to start construction at the second quarter of 2022 and be completed by the end of 2024.
The iron refining plant has a 16-month implementation schedule, including 40 different large and small heavy industrial workshop items. The selection of a construction contractor is therefore crucial to ensure the progress and quality of the project, meeting the requirements and production expansion plans of Vietnam’s leading steel group.
At the end of 2021, Coteccons and Novaland signed a long-term cooperation agreement for the construction of Novaland's key projects over the period from 2022 to 2025.
The most prominent real estate group in the southern region chose Coteccons to be the main contractor to build a number of hotels and project clusters in its Aqua City Smart Eco-Urban Area in Bien Hoa, Dong Nai and NovaWorld Phan Thiet - a sea, tourism, and health megacity.
Coteccons continues to cooperate strategically with Charm Group on the $2 billion Ho Tram Beach mega project - a new symbol of the resort tourism industry.
Discussing the reasons for choosing Coteccons as the main contractor, a representative of Charm Group said, “Coteccons has been trusted and chosen by many huge brands like VinGroup, Six Senses, Ecopark, and Lancaster, among others. Many mega projects in Vietnam are also handled by Cocteccons, including Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City - the tallest tower in Vietnam. Therefore, choosing Coteccons is a guarantee for the quality and progress of Charm Group's projects.”
Furthermore, Coteccons won bids for a series of other projects such as Vinhomes Grand Park, Vinhomes Dream City, and Six Senses Saigon Riverside.
Vo Hoang Lam, deputy general director of Coteccons said, “The principles that have become our trademarks such as Absolute Safety, commitment to hand over the project on time or ahead of schedule, and class-leading quality are a confidence guarantee for major partners to choose Coteccons as their strategic contractor.”
Unicons charms with world-class projects
While Coteccons' winning bid for a series of civil and industrial projects shows the strong comeback of the number-one construction contractor in Vietnam, Unicons is charming the industry with world-class factory projects.
From the beginning of the year, Unicons has beaten out many large domestic and international contractors to win the bid for the Thang Long-Tesa Haiphong adhesive tape factory project from the demanding European customer Tesa. Tesa products are used in intensive industrial and household applications and are known for world-class quality. The construction of this factory requires very stringent quality standards.
While Coteccons' winning bid for a series of civil and industrial projects shows the strong comeback of the number-one construction contractor in Vietnam, Unicons is charming the industry with world-class factory projects.
The construction of the Tesa Haiphong adhesive tape factory with an area of more than 33,000sq.m at Deep C2B Industrial Park in the Dinh Vu-Cat Hai Economic Zone in Haiphong was kicked-off on January 26 with Unicons as general contractor.
In addition to Tesa’s project, Unicons has secured other projects such as being the general contractor of the Canadian International School System Complex in Lao Cai, The Kiss Bridge project in Phu Quoc - a new symbol of Ngoc Island tourism by Sun Group, Fusion Hotel in Danang, and other industrial and civil projects with a total value of millions dollars.
The total value of Coteccons and Unicons’ bidding packages in the first quarter has over $435 million. This shows that the brand reputation of the No. 1 contractor in Vietnam is increasingly consolidated. The new projects not only cover commercial and residential real estate but also encompass the industrial infrastructure real estate segment.
