This was part of the Hanoi People’s Committee’s plan to effectively implement the “Vietnamese people buy Vietnamese goods” campaign and trade promotion programs through traditional and night shopping activities and e-commerce in the context of the post-Covid-19 pandemic.

Within the opening event, the municipal Department of Industry and Trade will organize a “Green Hanoi - Green Connection 2022” exhibition space with the theme “Hanoi Green Destination” in an area of 500 – 600m2. The exhibition is expected to draw the participation of a number of businesses, organizations and individuals in the fields of transportation, travel, hotel, and catering services.

In July, the Hanoi Sales Promotion 2022 will be held from July 1 to 5, with the participation of 100-120 manufacturing, trading, and service enterprises who will present their traditional products and other items classified by the One Commune One Product Program (OCOP). The event will showcase goods made by craft villages, catering businesses, those in telecommunications - information technology, education - training, and regional specialties.

Following these programs, in November, a series of special promotional activities, namely the Hanoi Midnight Sale 2022and Hanoi’s BlackFriday will be held on November 25-27. The event's launch ceremony is expected to take place at 5pm on November 24 depending on the development of the Covid-19 pandemic.

About 200 participating businesses and 10 supermarkets and trade centers will join the Hanoi Midnight Sale 2022 and discounts will be offered between 5pm and 10pm (with 50% rebate) and from 10pm to 2am (up to 100% discount).

Besides the main events within the framework of the program, many activities and events to stimulate demand and trade promotion will also be held such as a fair on safe agricultural products and food in Hanoi, Vietnamese goods week, weekly fruit and agricultural products from provinces and cities in Hanoi, a fair to introduce  OCOP-labeled handicraft and the Fruit Festival 2022.
