Hanoi kicks off 2021 promotion month

Hanoi Promotion Month 2021 features a chain of sales promotion events at supermarkets and trade centres across the city.

The ceremony to launch Hanoi Sales Promotion Month and kick-start the demand-stimulating week took place in Hanoi on December 17.

The event, hosted by the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) in tandem with relevant departments and branches, aims to foster trade promotion activities, connecting producers with distribution channels to present attractive promotion programmes in favour of consumers through the hybrid format: e-commerce platforms and traditional retail.

The sales promotion programme on December 17-31 features nearly 500 businesses from all reaches of the economic spectrum, including trade centres, supermarkets, and convenience stores, as well as home appliances, travel, banks, telecom and IT, and e-commerce firms.

The special online promotion event would run from December 27-31, offering multiple attractive online promotion programmes with discounts reaching 70 per cent, and other incentives such as free shipping and promotional vouchers.

The programme consists of a chain of special events to benefit consumers. Along with this, the demand stimulating week from December 17 to 24 is taking place at more than 1,000 sale venues, especially big supermarkets and trade centres across Hanoi.

This year, the Organising Committee has selected 12 supermarkets and trade centres to participate in Hanoi Promotion Month. These producers and distribution channels will present wide-ranging sales promotion programmes with discounts from 30 to more than 50 per cent, facilitating goods circulation for the year-end period and helping firms to boost service revenue and reduce inventory.

The highlight of Hanoi Promotion Week will be taking place on December 18-19 when thousands of products would be offered at impressive discounts of up to 70 per cent to welcome the upcoming Christmas and New Year 2022.

The special discount programme on these days would be launched simultaneously in 50 supermarket and trade centre systems, and major e-commerce platforms in the city.

Another special online promotion event will run on December 27-31, offering multiple attractive online promotion programmes with discounts reaching 70 per cent and other incentives such as free shipping and promotional vouchers.

Joined by the e-commerce systems of nearly 100 businesses and big e-commerce platforms, the promotions will be deployed and connected to the thangkhuyenmaihanoi.vn website.

According to Nguyen Thi Mai Anh, HPA deputy director, Hanoi Promotion Month 2021 will efficiently boost the efficiency of trade promotion through allowing direct connection between producers and distribution channels, helping firms overcome hardships and fuel consumption by the year-end period.

The event is expected to push up growth in total sales revenue and ensuring supply-demand balance in the city in light of Plan 243/KH-UBND dated October 2021 presenting temporary regulations on safe and flexible adoption and effective containment of COVID-19 and Plan 246/KH-UBND dated November 1, 2021 of Hanoi People’s Committee on economic rebound and development with effective pandemic control.
