Acleda, TC ink digital payments agreement
ACLEDA Bank Plc and Total Cambodge (TC) on December 8 penned a partnership agreement to provide digital payment and prepaid bill services through the bank as well as a range of solutions for the local TotalEnergies SE affiliate’s wholesalers and retailers.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Acleda president and group managing director In Channy said the partnership will provide a “secure, simple and highly efficient” way to make digital payments.
TC in 2005 opened accounts for cash collection with Acleda, he said, adding that the bank’s points-of-sale (POS) terminals have been installed at 59 filling stations since the first was set up in 2015.
“Recognising the importance and needs of customers, Acleda and TC have teamed up to expand and add Acleda Mobile to their payment methods, a state-of-the-art option to serve all customers,” he said.
Total Cambodge membership card holders can also top up their fuel card through Acleda Mobile, he said, adding that the energy firm’s distribution partners would be able to “reliably and conveniently” pay for products and services through Acleda Mobile.
Total Cambodge managing director Dinah Jogia Kumar voiced delight over the partnership, which she said brings the two companies to a new level of cooperation, noting that a memorandum of understanding had been signed to explore digital solutions for customers.
“We’ll increase the variety of services offered at our stations beyond what we have now, along with prepaid solutions, which are important to our customers,” she said, adding that customers will be able to sign up and experience more efficient means of payment with Acleda Mobile.
Total Cambodge offers a range of products and services, more than 100 petrol and diesel filling stations with more than 52 convenience stores (Bonjour shops), industrial fuels, aviation fuels and lubricants.
