Vinasoy’s powerful weapon to win over the global market

With three factories running on cutting-edge technology and production capacity reaching 390 million litres of soy milk per year, Vinasoy is well-positioned to continue its leadership in the soy milk business for many years while securing global recognition.

Vinasoy's dairy products were first introduced to the community about 25 years ago. Few people thought then, that there would be a time when mentioning soy milk, people would immediately think of Vinasoy. For many years, the domestic soy milk brand has maintained its leading market share in Vietnam.

The company held 92.2 per cent of the soy milk sector as of August 2021. This impressive figure demonstrates not only consumers' preference for Vinasoy in the midst of the pandemic but also that Vinasoy has become a staple for millions of Vietnamese families. Vinasoy is also the first and only Vietnamese company to be listed among the world's top five soy milk manufacturers for three consecutive years.

Vinasoy's Board of Directors has dedicated many years to learn about soybeans and the taste of consumers of all ages to accomplish these amazing achievements. Expansive investment in a modern industrial system with cutting-edge technology also supported Vinasoy in appearing in the kitchens of every family.

“Vinasoy is the first and only Vietnamese company to be among the world's top five soy milk companies for three consecutive years. This is also a testament to Vinasoy's long-term goal to become a leading company in soy-based nutritional goods,” said Eliseo Barcas, general director of Tetra Pak Vietnam, the main partner in helping Vinasoy build a modern factory system. “I am confident that today's success is only the beginning of Vinasoy's greater success in its journey to bring the essence of natural soybeans to millions of Vietnamese people. As a trusted partner, we feel proud and grateful to be accompanied on this journey.”

Trio of factories creating a solid tripod for Vinsoy

Starting with a single factory with a capacity of only five million liters of milk a year, Vinasoy now has three factories spread across Vietnam: one in Bac Ninh in the north, one in Quang Ngai in Central Vietnam, and another in Binh Duong in the south. All factories employ cutting-edge technology and operate on a massive scale, with a total capacity of more than 390 million litres, equivalent to two billion products per year.

From input to finished product packaging, the entire production line at the factories is equipped with modern Tetra Pak Group (Sweden) technology with a synchronous, closed, and completely automatic equipment system.

The factory uses UHT sterilisation processing technology and aseptic packaging technology to maintain the product's full flavour, deliciousness, and nutrition for up to six months without the use of preservatives. Paper packaging helps prevent light, bacteria and air from entering, anti-oxidation during product storage.

As for the advantages of Tetra Pak's modern technology and systems, Barcas said: “We equip Vinasoy's factories with advanced technologies to maintain the mineral content and natural flavour of the soybeans while also creating different flavours to meet customer taste.”

“High-temperature sterilisation technology eliminates all germs and bacteria, ensuring that soy milk is safe to consume without the need for preservatives. Meanwhile, sterilised packaging technology offers longer shelf life, making it easier to transport products farther, safer, regardless of weather conditions and infrastructure in Vietnam."

Vinasoy is raising the bar for soy-based nutritional products to meet the quality and food safety standards for consumers thanks with its advanced technology chain. Furthermore, the company’s factory system complies with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 5S, and foreign certifications such as FSSC 22000, Halal, and more, making it ready for future exports.

Bringing Vietnamese soy milk to the world

Thanks to continuous expansion and rising productivity, the three plants have created a great strength for Vinasoy, not only fulfilling domestic demand but also preparing for the international business expansion.

Vinasoy's products are already present in demanding markets like China and Japan. Circulating on 11 leading e-commerce websites of China and appearing at all supermarkets across Japan, Vinasoy's products have reached world-class standards.

Vinasoy's products will continue to expand globally in the fourth quarter this year, by entering the next two key markets: the US and South Korea.
