Thuan Duc bagmaker eyes stronger presence in EU market

Thuan Duc JSC, a Vietnamese manufacturer of PP-woven shopping bags and cooler bags, is focusing on new products in order to venture further into the international market.

With sustainable development now an inevitable trend worldwide, Thuan Duc is pivoting its production upon environmentally-friendly PP products to meet the criteria of preservation of food and goods, as well as to protect the environment.

With the current focus on PP woven shopping bags as well as non-woven equivalents, the company boasts a variety of products with high quality and durability, while offering food safety and strong recycling possibilities as well as convenience and competitive prices.

With the aim of penetrating the international market, Thuan Duc has introduced new shopping bags made from PP woven and PP non-woven fabric with unique designs and beautiful models. The company plans to boost the production of non-woven products in the coming time.

Bui Quang Sy, deputy general director of Thuan Duc said, “Thanks to the application of advanced technology in production, our shopping bags and other items meet strict and varied requirements as found in Japan, the US, and EU markets.”

Thuan Duc completely owns the input material source thanks to PP plastic recycling technology. This is a great advantage to help stabilise production and business activities as well as increase competitiveness in the market.

The company’s PP plastic recycling technology has outstanding advantages through the process of heating and cooling to recycle used PP bags into PP plastic resins. They do not use whitening chemicals or detergents, and the circulating water does not emit into the environment. Applying recycled plastic technology is contributing to saving energy, natural resources, and protecting the environment.

By the end of 2020, Thuan Duc had officially launched a line of high-quality PP non-woven fabrics not only for packaging as supermarket bags but also as raw materials for the manufacturing of medical equipment such as clothing, and antibacterial masks.

The company is now a reliable supplier for a number of domestic and international partners. With a vision towards sustainable development and international expansion, Thuan Duc has been making investments in upgrading and expanding its factories as well as increasing production capacity and product quality, while modernising its factories to meet growing demands.

Seeing growth potential, Thuan Duc also plans to invest in a new factory for exports in the central province of Thanh Hoa.

Current developments, such as economies widely reopening after pandemic troubles and enforcement of trade deals like the one between Vietnam and the EU, mean companies just like Thuan Duc are pushing forward with plans to grasp the opportunities to expand outside domestic borders.

With many years of experience in the plastics packaging industry and with a proactive and flexible response, Thuan Duc leaders believe it will reach greater heights moving into 2020. The company aims to become Vietnam’s leading plastic packaging manufacturer with a strong reputation when it comes to its branding.

In the wake of greater awareness when it comes to harmful plastic waste in the environment, Thuan Duc has set stronger sustainable development goals, striving to become a great place to work with an efficient management system, high technology, and a strong enterprise culture where each worker will become a technology master.

“We aim to achieve stable growth and increase the profitability rate, as well as satisfy customers and expand our market all over the world,” Sy noted.
