Industry promotion boosts production, export

Dong Nai Province has set an industry promotion goal to help its rural industrial sector increase production and export by 5-5.4 and 5.2-6 percent per year in 2021-2025. The plan is expected to benefit about 300 local industrial establishments.

Solutions

To realize this goal, relevant units will be tasked with improving management, awareness and application of cleaner production in industrial production, help producers expand the market of rural industrial products, develop outstanding rural industrial products and implement joint ventures and cooperation projects, as well as developing industrial zones for small and medium-sized enterprises, and relocating environmental polluters.

Dong Nai plans to help 47 rural industrial facilities apply advanced machinery and equipment to production

Dong Nai plans to implement two technical demonstration models to introduce new technologies and manufacture new products, and help 47 rural industrial facilities apply advanced machinery and equipment to production. These projects have been allocated VND2.7 billion for 2021 and 2022, VND3.7 billion for 2023, VND2.7 billion for 2024 and VND3.7 billion for 2025.

The Dong Nai Province People’s Committee will issue and enforce new industry promotion policies while supplementing and amending other related legal documents, building rural industrial databases and statistics, and better managing industry promotion programs.

The southeastern province will continue to improve the capacity of its Industry Promotion Center, including formation of a network of industry promotion collaborators in communes.

Policy realization

The Dong Nai Province Department of Industry and Trade has assigned specific tasks to relevant units to ensure progress and efficient industry promotion projects. By the end of the second quarter of 2021, the center had submitted detailed planned projects to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, prepared 12 industry promotion programs to be broadcast on the Dong Nai radio and television channels, and industry promotion newsletters for the first and second quarters of 2021. The center has also implemented a project for forming and maintaining a network of industry promotion collaborators in the 2020-2025 period.

The Covid-19 pandemic prevented execution of a number of tasks planned for this year. The center will review them and work with the Department of Industry and Trade to find solutions to the problems.

Dong Nai Province is expected to have 20 and 22 provincial-level and national-level outstanding rural industrial products in 2021, respectively.
