Ha Giang Province realizes key industry promotion targets
Industry promotion funded equipment helps rural industrial establishments improve labor productivity and product quality

The test results show that industry promotion funded equipment helped the beneficiaries improve labor productivity and product quality, and meet the needs of consumers. This equipment is expected to help beneficiary enterprises increase revenue and profit.

In 2021, the Ha Giang Province People’s Committee approved 12 industry promotion projects and a number of investment plans for industry promotion with a budget of more than VND1.5 billion. Immediately after the funding was allocated, the Ha Giang Province Department of Industry and Trade instructed the provincial industry and trade promotion center to work with localities in selecting and verifying beneficiary candidates, giving priority to important, OCOP (one commune one product), tourism-serving products and provincial farm produce projects. Most industry promotion projects have been implemented on schedule.

The Ha Giang Province People’s Committee approved a 2021-2025 industry promotion program, which encourages and creates conditions for all economic sectors to participate in industrial and handicraft investment and development. The program will prioritize projects in communes that are part of the national program for development of new rural areas, and projects supporting agro-forest-fishery product processing, the mechanical industry, OCOP product production, outstanding rural industrial product manufacturing, and new product and new craft development.

The provincial people’s committee asked the Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate with relevant units to inspect industry promotion activities in the province, give suggestions on amending, supplementing and improving industry promotion regulations and laws, make cost estimates and prepare industry promotion projects to be funded by the national industry promotion program.

The government has approved a budget of more than VND31 billion for industry promotion in Ha Giang Province in the 2021-2025 period, of which VND14.786 billion will be financed by the national industry promotion program and the remaining VND16.22 billion by the provincial industry promotion program.
